Special Issue on Security of Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks

Ad hoc and sensor networks are expected to become an integral part of the future computing landscape. However, these networks introduce new security challenges due to their dynamic topology, severe resource constraints, and absence of a trusted infrastructure. This Journal of Computer Security (JCS) special issue seeks submissions from academia and industry presenting novel research on all aspects of security for ad hoc and sensor networks, as well as experimental studies of fielded systems.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following as they relate to mobile ad hoc networks or sensor networks:

Submission Instructions: Authors should follow the JCS manuscript format described in the Submissions and Author Information section on the JCS website (http://www.mitre.org/jcs). Additional information is available on the IOS Press JCS website (http://www.iospress.nl/html/0926227x.php) under submission of manuscripts.
All paper submissions will be handled electronically. Papers must be submitted in PDF format to the guest editors at pning(at)ncsu.edu and wedu(at)ecs.syr.edu, and must be received by the deadline of April 1, 2006.
Prior Conference Publication: Authors may submit to this JCS special issue revised versions of papers that appeared previously in refereed or formally reviewed publications if:
Authors should note that the JCS paper must have enough value-added for the reader and for archival purposes beyond the published record already available in the conference literature. Minor enhancements to conference papers and papers under review for other publications will not be accepted.
In case of prior conference publication, authors should submit a PDF version of the prior conference paper and a brief statement explaining how the JCS submission differs from the prior conference publication.
